I've gone from college Music Major, to wife, mother, office administration, seamstress, avid reader and now to jewelry designer and maker. Loving every minute (well, almost}. Pushing myself to learn new techniques keeps me young.
Linda Bittinger, Rest In Peace....November 26, 2016
Well, this is all my daughter's fault...
She showed me how to make brick stitch earrings back in the early 90's and introduced me to little tiny seed beads. Working with seed beads can be a very tedious thing to do, you can weave these little babies "off loom" or "on loom", and who knew seed beads came in so many sizes? The first pieces were done with "tiny". I later discovered you can get "itty bitty", and they even come in size "make you cross-eyed and blind!"
I LOVED IT! I did have to invest in "readers" so I don't go completely blind, whew.
So many different styles of jewelry can be created with these little things but to give my creative urges more to work with, I also create with larger beads.
It's thrilling to me when I can make something that gives someone else pleasure. I hope you will enjoy my jewelry as much as I enjoy making it.
